Football legend Tony Adams is coming to the LAC on Friday 20th September!
Tony will be in conversation with LAC Artistic Director Amy Phillips, speaking about football, Strictly and addiction.
Tony was the most successful Arsenal captain of all time during his 22-year playing career at the club, and captained England through the Euro 96 campaign to reach the semi-finals. He is one of the most decorated footballers in UK history and the only player to have captained a title-winning team in three different decades.
Tony had a brilliant season on Strictly Come Dancing in 2022 with Katya Jones, making his entrance in week one on an Arsenal golden cannon suspended from the ceiling, and surviving for another 7 weeks, before sadly having to withdraw due to injury.
After leaving the football pitch Tony founded the Sporting Chance Clinic, as a result of his own experiences with alcoholism – a charity that provides treatment, counselling and education to former professional sportspeople experiencing difficulties with addiction. Tony went on to create SIX MHA to help people outside the sporting world find their way to sobriety, strong mental health and robust well-being.
