We are looking to recruit new Trustees to the join the existing Board, with a view to their commencing their role in September 2024. These new appointments aim to broaden the skill base and background of our Board.
We are particularly keen to improve the diversity of our trustee board to better reflect our community and as we want to diversify what we offer and who we offer it to. We would, therefore, particularly welcome applications from people of colour, people of all ages, genders and sexual orientations, people of all faiths or none, people of all gender identities and people who identify as having a disability.
We currently have eleven Trustees who provide oversight and strategic guidance to the organisation in order to ensure the Arts Centre adheres to its Articles of Association and complies with good practice and charity legislation. We also provide critical friend support and encouragement to our team, specifically to our Artistic Director and Operations Manager. It’s an important role and we need a broad and diverse range of people and skills to fulfil our joint responsibilities.
As a member of the Board, Trustees are expected to contribute to discussions on the strategy and management of the Arts Centre, bringing their knowledge and experience to ensure sound and measured decision making.
