Join us to celebrate ten years of Stephen Hall OBE as the Lantern Arts Choir’s conductor! Enjoy an entertaining and eclectic mix of the choir's favourite pieces from the past decade accompanied by the Lantern Band. From spirituals to musicals, war tunes to Big Band, opera to ABBA, there will be something for everyone!

The Lantern Arts Choir is the in-house choir at the Lantern Arts Centre, led by Stephen Hall OBE, who is also founder music director of the Civil Service Choir. Further details about the choir can be found by clicking here.

Stephen Hall OBE

Stephen has led and performed with the Lantern Arts Choir since 2014. He is founder music director of the Civil Service Choir, conducting over 150 performances, including with orchestras, and building the choir’s reputation for remarkable performances. Stephen has received professional conductor training through the Association of British Choral Directors and the English Choral Experience.

 

Stephen was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 2018 for voluntary and charitable service, in recognition of developing and leading the Civil Service Choir and for other voluntary and charitable activities. Stephen can be also found treading the boards, having performed in many productions at the LAC, most recently in Kipps in July 2023.
